Branding, Exhibition and Graphic Design

✖ testimonials

Ruža Leko – Studio Suss – has been an absolute pleasure to work with during the development of the InForm exhibition and catalogue.

InForm displays contemporary ceramics and jewellery next to the Museum objects that inspired them. Ruža’s original design concept added greatly to this collaborative project between the National Museum of Ireland and the Design & Crafts Council Ireland.

The graphic design process and production was characterised by Ruža’s effective communication with colleagues from different departments within NMI as well as external stakeholders, quick turn-around times, creative problem solving and a high degree of flexibility.

Ruža develops her compelling design concepts after carefully considering clients’ needs and successfully tailors them to site-specific resources and requirements.

Her designs are clear, crisp, minimalist, yet transporting complex messages with ease and subtle elements of playfulness. She is also one of the very few graphic designers in Ireland with a strong commitment to developing and using sustainable designs and materials.

I can highly recommend Ruža – Studio Suss – for the development of exhibition designs and stand-alone or accompanying publications.

Dr Edith Andrees, Curator, Art & Industrial Division, National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts & History

Ruza works with an unrivalled care and thoughtfulness, and every project we have done together has been a wonderful experience leading to outstanding results.

I am immensely proud of working with Ruza, always learning from how she interprets and delivers for Science Gallery. Covering the whole process from concept development to 2D and 3D production, Ruza’s work is incredibly valuable and always a guaranteed success.

Andrea Bandelli, Executive Director, Science Gallery International

The process that Studio Suss brought to our project was hugely impressive. Over the course of a few meetings Ruza zeroed in on what was important for us as a company. She rapidly re-imagined our brand around the concept of ‘Home’ and produced a visual narrative that has all the hallmarks of great design. The brand is simple but at the same time somewhat unexpected and incredibly flexible. It works beautifully across digital platforms, our printed materials as well as in our product packaging. We couldn’t be happier and even our customers have remarked on our lovely new look. A re branding process can be daunting but Studio Suss made this process easy and we have seen the end result in our incredible customer feedback. Ruža is a gifted designer and a pleasure to work with.

Ruza was an absolute pleasure, even for a small, personal job. She was so attentive to the small details, to making the brand work for me and to seeing the project through to the final touches. Highly recommended!

Dr. Ciara O’Dowd, Hyphenix

Working with Studio Suss is always an absolute pleasure. Ruza takes all of our bizarre requests and crazy timelines in her stride and the end results are always more impressive than we could even wish for. In my opinion she has a way of visualising science and technology that is truly unique and invaluable. From helping with the design of local initiatives to creating visual identities for multimillion euro international research projects, she is the best person to work with!

Dr. Joseph Roche, Assistant Professor in Science Education, Trinity College Dublin

Ruza is a skilled, passionate and dedicated designer with an extraordinary talent to translate ideas into beautiful work. She thinks laterally about projects, considering the design process deeply as part of the whole concept. I'm delighted to recommend her.

Jessica Hilliard, Head of Development and Fundraising, IFI

Ruza did work for "Schrödinger at 75: The Future of Biology", a major international conference to mark the anniversary of Erwin Schrödinger's scientific achievements and connections with Trinity College and Ireland. The programme was designed as a keepsake with ISBN and in hope that 25, 50 and 75 years from now those interested in Schrödinger and his "What is Life?" would use the booklet as part of the study of his legacy leading to ground-breaking discoveries of our time.

Professor Luke O'Neill, Trinity College Dublin

Ruza is a hugely talented designer and it is a real pleasure to work with her.  For the Gallery of Photography’s 1916 Commemoration projects, Ruža and Studio Suss devised imaginative and flexible design solutions which were delivered on a modest budget and within a tight timeframe. Thanks to Ruža’s input, a small publication was brought to a whole new level, and her design of the book has rightly received critical acclaim. Ruža adds great value to all the projects she takes on and we have no hesitation in recommending her.

Trish Lambe, Curator, Gallery of Photography

I had the pleasure of working with Studio Suss while organising an international conference. Ruza developed the concept and impressed me with her flexible, insightful approach. She listened carefully to all our needs and was endlessly patient with our ever-changing and sometimes bureaucratic system. Our end result, which included branding, digital and print programmes amongst others, was professional and high quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ruza and will be a repeat customer myself.

Dr. Patricia Doherty, Senior Research Programme Officer – Trinity St. James’s Cancer Institute

Ruza visited BCFE to talk to our graphic design students about her work, career-to-date, working methodology, and her evolving approach to achieving the perfect work/life balance. She was incredible, and the impact she made on the students was, quite simply, profound. Aside from her incredible abilities as a graphic designer, Ruža is also a superb public speaker.

Alan Costello, Lecturer, Graphic Design, Illustration & Digital media at Ballyfermot College of Further Education

I am truly delighted with how Ruza fulfilled the brief we set for easy treesie, our children's million-tree educational initiative. The task was complex. Ruza listens so carefully to the specification of what is required and her questioning was a great help in crystallising what we wanted to communicate. She went way beyond our expectations in what has been delivered. Nothing short of dazzling. It is the real impetus this charitable environmental project needed to take off. If anyone knows of an Award to nominate Ruza Leko for let me know. PS the end result is so extraordinary I have taken over the Board room of Dr. Steevens Hospital to launch it on Dublin Culture Night!

Orla Farrell, Easy Treesie, Project founder at Crann — Trees for Ireland

Ruza was fantastic to work with – after just a couple of conversations, and some insightful questions from her about our project, she produced designs that were exactly what we wanted, even though we didn’t know what we wanted at the start! She delivered quickly and professionally, listened carefully, and was a pleasure to work with – thoroughly recommended!

East Wing has employed Ruza's expertise in promotion and signage for some of our past photographic exhibitions in Dubai. Her work is excellent! She is very imaginative, creative and resourceful. Her designs are clean and communicate clearly, which is a must when it comes to exhibition design. I would highly recommend Ruza Leko!

Peggy Sue Amison, Artistic Director, East Wing Gallery, Doha, Qatar

Ruza Leko is an extremely talented designer who knows how to deliver a creative and original concept within a tight timeframe, and does not allow the essence of the design to suffer as a result. She is also a designer who listens to the client and the particular needs or specifics of a cultural institution, such as the National Museum of Ireland. The resulting graphic design content was exceptional in terms of a lightness of touch, but with clear legibility and an overall accessible aesthetic, which delighted visitors to the exhibition. The fact the exhibition Portrait of a Century was one of the first times in recent decades the National Museum had addressed the topic of photography made the brief all the more important to get right. Ruža excelled and achieved all of what was required and more.

Dr Audrey Whitty, Keeper, Art & Industrial Division, National Museum of Ireland —Collins Barracks

Ruza was an absolute pleasure to work with. She worked beyond the brief and we still receive compliments 3 years on! Would highly recommend her.

Ruza is an incredible designer with great insight into technology and user experience. She guided me through the whole overwhelming process of website re-design and rebranding with her unique style, eye for colour, and creative imagery. In the background, due to her ongoing work, the website runs really smoothly and user experience is streamlined, professional and visually attractive at every stage of customer interaction. Ruza knows my brand as well as I do and I can trust her completely for all my design projects. I return to her again and again for projects and really look forward to embarking on new creative journeys with her every time.

I would recommend Ruza to absolutely anyone. She came into my life at a most chaotic time—when I was trying to organize an exhibition at the Trinity Long Room Hub after having just lost the intern who was supposed to help me do it. Ruža came highly recommended by her former colleagues at the Science Gallery in Dublin, but even so I was extremely impressed by her professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail. After a brief meeting in which I explained what I was trying to do with the exhibition, Ruža took the reins and although facing rather extreme deadlines made sure everything was not only finished, but also beautiful. She also (very gently) made sure that I remained focused and broke down seemingly insurmountable tasks into achievable ones. I cherish above all else the catalogue that she designed for the exhibition—War and Revolution: Framing 100 of Cultural Opposition in Ukraine. Every page is gorgeous, down to the last detail. Ruža worked with me patiently—through many drafts—to make sure everything was just right. I was moved by her aesthetic sensibilities and also her commitment to the project. It is not easy to translate academic analytical concepts into a visually stimulating exhibition—especially with an inadequate budget. Ruža truly made miracles with the resources she was given.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Ruza at Studio Suss. She doesn't just hear your ideas; she absorbs them, refines them, and then weaves her creative magic into every design. It's like she can read your mind and transform your thoughts into visually captivating realities. In an industry where costs can skyrocket, she offers a refreshing alternative, delivering outstanding work without compromising quality. It's worth mentioning that she is a female-owned business, which is a testament to her drive and entrepreneurial spirit. Her success in a competitive field sets an example to aspiring women in the design industry. My experience working with her was exceptional, and I look forward to future collaborations!
